You can rely on our comprehensive and fast service. Our ZEISS service technicians regularly check and document the condition of your measuring equipment directly on-site.

In addition, the calibration of measuring instruments and reference standards is an important part of quality assurance to guarantee reliable measurement results and the high quality of your end products in accordance with applicable standards. You can have your measuring equipment calibrated in our ISO/IEC 17025:2018 accredited laboratory or purchase calibrated test specimens.

Rely on quality: On-site calibration of measuring instruments at ZEISS

As a competent partner, we perform on-site calibration of your coordinate measuring machine after commissioning and adjustment. Among other things, we offer the inspection of coordinate measuring machines with tactile and optical sensors. Coordinate measuring machines with large measuring volumes are calibrated using a laser. We also offer this metrology calibration service for you in the field of industrial computer tomographs. We evaluate whether your measuring machine meets the manufacturer's specifications. The result is then documented in a calibration certificate.

In our permanent calibration laboratory at the Oberkochen and Essingen sites in Germany, we can offer you a wide range of calibration services in metrology. We achieve the smallest measurement uncertainties through decades of experience in dimensional metrology, measurement rooms with high temperature stability and the use of ZEISS reference measuring instruments. We use both tactile and optical methods to calibrate your reference workpieces and test specimens.

Virtual Coordinate Measuring Machines (VCMM)

Due to the many influencing variables, it is costly and complex to determine the measurement uncertainties for each inspection criterion. The Virtual Coordinate Measuring Machine (VCMM) automatically calculates the measurement uncertainties quickly and reliably for almost any workpiece of any shape.

According to a mathematical model, all uncertainty influences acting on the measurement are recorded for the calculation and entered into the simulation calculation. The calculation of the measurement uncertainty according to ISO/TS 15530-4:2008 is performed using the ZEISS software CALYPSO, option VCMM. Our experienced laboratory staff will also be available to install this option at your site.

Our calibration laboratory is accredited for the calibration of prismatic workpieces according to the VCMM method. Thus, we are able to calibrate your individual master parts traceably and issue a DAkkS calibration certificate.
